Gameplay-wise this game shifts from its predecessors isometric perspective to a first-person one and gives plenty of weapon options including the bizarre ability to use a cat as an improvised silencer. The original Postal game courted controversy when it came out as did this one - intentionally so.

Postal 2 is in many ways a legacy of an earlier age when American postal employees were associated in popular culture with random acts of mass violence. Getting through the week though involves taking a lot of abuse from strangers and although it's possible to fulfill all of the game's missions without shooting anyone in the face doing it the old-fashioned way is a lot more satisfying.
